Attributes

What are Attributes?

Attributes describe the physical and mental prowess of a creature. A high attribute represents a high degree of competency in the particular attribute.
Attributes can be raised with Attribute Points (AP). Each experience level grants a creature 10 AP.
Raising an attribute requires AP equivalent to the target value. This means that raising an attribute from 1 to 2 requires 2 AP, while raising an attribute from 13 to 14 requires 14 AP. Naturally, this means that attibutes have to be raised sequentially – going from O to 3 would require a total of 6 AP.

What are modifiers?

Most dice rolls do not consider the raw value of an attribute. Instead, they use modifiers (usually denoted as MOD). The attribute modifier increases by one for every two raw attribute points.
