Basic
Equipment
Characters may directly equip a limited number of the following items:
- Armor: Four pieces total, one for each hit zone (Head, Torso, Arms, Legs)
- Trinkets: One amulet and two rings
- Weapons: Two one-handed or one two-handed weapon.
For characters with unconventional physiques, reflavor as appropriate.
Completely deviating from these standards will destroy game balance.
Carry Weight
Characters can carry a maximum of [STR-MOD] × 4 weight units (roughly equivalent to one kilogram).
Each full point of carried weight over that maximum reduces the Encumbrance Rating by 1.
Encumbrance Rating (ER)
Encumbrance Rating describes the ease or difficulty a character has carrying their inventory around. A positive ER value means a very light load and increased nimbleness, while a negative value means the character is heavily loaded thus less agile.
Effects
The Encumbrance Rating is added to all dodge rolls and DEX checks (including, but not limited to: Saves, stealth, acrobatics).
Positive ER bonuses are capped at the character's DEX-MOD.
